Nancy Inkster – Buddhist meditation

‘Buddhist Mediation’ by Nancy Inkster at 2.45 pm  Upper hall

Nancy Inkster has been a theosophist for over 15 years and has run ‘Introduction to Meditation’ courses here at the Theosophical Society.  In them she has clarified what meditation is from a theosophical perspective and has helped people to explore different traditions in order to find a technique that suits them.

Nancy will be taking you through a Buddhist guided meditation on Compassion.

It doesn’t matter whether you are new to meditation or have a regular practice, come to this session to share in generating compassionate energies not only for yourself but for all of life.

Nancy Inkster is also an author of two books “Live in the autumn of life” and “Thank you India – a travel journal” She has written in the area of non-fiction throughout her adult life.   For the past 15 years her developing understanding of theosophy has informed her writing. In 2008 she published “Thank You India: A Travel Journal”.  In 2014 & 2015 she wrote scripts for the “Introduction to Theosophy” segments on the weekly radio program that the TS put to air every Sunday morning on Radio Adelaide.  She is currently writing articles for the palliative care newsletter “Out of the Loop”. “Love in the Autumn of Life” is her first fiction; a gentle uplifting story about the redemptive power of love and the interconnectedness of all of life.  It is set in the present day in the city of Angoulême in France.  She has published it as a dual text (in English & French) for students of either language.  Or you can just enjoy the story on its own.

Both of Nancy books are available in our New Dimensions bookshop.
